My visits to the Tokyo Illustrators Society website never disappoint - there are some very skilled illustrators to be seen there, creating engaging and splendid-looking work.
One such illustrator is Toshio Nomura - his lovely blue frog characters are delightful.
Alexey Bednij manipulates the shadows in his photographs to create captivating, mind-bending images.

This hazy portrait is an acrylic painting from the Antimatter series by the Miaz Brothers.
The paintings appear to be created on quite a large scale - it would be interesting to see them in real life.

The Gestalten Space in Berlin is currently showing a solo exhibition by Oliver Jeffers called ‘Here or There’. Known for his picture books for children, his latest artworks are inspired by “the gap that exists between logical thinking and emotional understanding.”
This is a fantastic illustration from the cover of an early 1960s Canadian fishing travel guide.
Sadly there’s no artist credit but it was commissioned by the Canadian Government Travel Bureau, Ottawa and published by authority of The Honourable Mitchell Sharp, Minister of Trade and Commerce.
