Lars Beller Fjetland is a Norwegian designer who creates these “Re-Turned” birds by hand from leftover wood, such as table legs or arm rests.
The birds can be bought from DISCIPLINE.
Dawid Ryska’s poster illustrations caught my eye. I like the limited colour palettes, fine details and subtle textures he uses.
Jacopo Rosati uses Fuzzy Felt to create bold, graphic illustrations. This piece is called ‘Slow Life’.
How incredible is this grizzly bear bean bag by Chic Sin Design? The graphic is knitted rather than printed - I would love to have one sleeping in the corner of my studio.
Joshua Harker’s ’Crania Anatomica Filigre’ is a stunningly detailed skull sculpture, 3D printed in polyamide.
You can find them available in different sizes in his Etsy shop.
This eraser ring by E for Effort is perfect for artists and perfectionists alike.
These money boxes were designed by Minka Podhajska in 1930.
From a book called “Toys of the Avant-Garde”, published by the Museo Picasso, Malaga and found via MONDOBLOGO (where more of Podhajska’s work can be seen).
Cheeky self-promotion time! I’m excited to have two new illustrations available to buy and download on Poolga Prints. It is a great new “print it yourself” site featuring works of art by distinguished illustrators.
The illustrations are simply downloaded for a small price and can be printed at home or by a printing service.
The designs available on Poolga Prints are selected from the considerable talent in Poolga’s online gallery, which has been running since 2007. There are lots of great prints to choose from (though this being my cheeky self-promotion, it should be mentioned that my illustrations can be found here and here.)
This ‘Cat & Candy’ screen print by Albert + Marie is pure visual sunshine.
You can buy one from their shop.
